The famed New York City ice cream shop Ample Hills Creamery recently began offering an exclusive root beer ice cream flavor at its new High Line location. Created as part of a collaboration with a neighboring restaurant, the new flavor manages to capture the unique energy of the High Line neighborhood.
Because of the proximity of the new Ample Hills Creamery shop to Buddy's High Line location, the two businesses teamed up to combine some of their best ingredients. The new 'Floatin’ Over the High Line' flavor consists of ice cream made with Buddy's own root beer syrup, mini marshmallows and chocolate sprinkles. As Ample Hills Creamery co-owner Brian Smith explains, "This flavor pays homage to the exhilaration of walking the High Line and marveling at its unique perspective of the city below."
In addition to the new root beer ice cream flavor, Ample Hills Creamy and Buddy's are also collaborating on build-your own shakes and ice cream-topped pie sundaes.
