Historial Social Media Updates

Romeo and Juliet Facebook Relationship Status Gets Plastered Public

Today, a street artist shows us what it would have looked like if the relationship status of Romeo and Juliet had been updated on Facebook.

The poster features a regular post that would show up on one's news feed -- Juliet Capulet is 'now is a relationship' and 'it's complicated'. As shorthand as Facebook is, it is amazing how accurately her story is summed up in those few short words. To add a touch of humor, the artist makes sure to include a 'Like' from the one and only, Romeo Montague.

Facebook is being used in so many innovative ways to represent events in the past (especially with their Timeline feature), but though it is cool, as seen in this case, it definitely takes the romance and passion out of any story.
