American music magazine Rolling Stone has teamed up with Bored Ape Yacht Club to launch its first-ever collection of NFT magazine covers. The collaborative collection will feature a total of seven new NFTs, including five commissioned pieces by NFT artists and two designed by Yuga Labs. Each piece is centered around a different Bored Ape or Mutant Ape.
A partnership between these two brands makes a lot of sense considering both of their countercultural influences. “The aesthetic of the Bored Ape Yacht Club is deeply indebted to the music we loved growing up, and partnering with Rolling Stone for these special NFTs is the perfect way to pay homage to those influences," said Gordon Goner, the co-founder of the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
