Skaters looking for a new thrill should spend some time checking out the Rockboard Descender. The Descender is a combination skateboard/tank and is designed to traverse any type of terrain. The four wheels of a normal skateboard have been replaced here by four treads. Each tread is in turn filled with nine wheels, bringing the total wheel count of the Rockboard Descender to thirty-six.
The board is similar to a mountain board in that it can take on tough terrain. Mountain boards aren't equipped for mud and snow though, and they have a design that differs greatly from a conventional skateboard. According to Rockboard, the company behind the Descender, their new deck can handle mud, dirt, rocks and snow with ease. No word yet on a release date or price for the Descender, but it does have a weight limit of 200 pounds.
