Record-Breaking Helmet Designs

Team GB's Rio 2016 Helmet is the World's Fastest Cycling Helmet

The record-breaking design team EIS has re-designed its award-winning Rio 2016 helmet model to produce what is expected to be the world's fastest cycling helmet.

In competitive sports, milliseconds can be the difference between first and second place. Using streamlined aerodynamics, the design team crafted a helmet with a redefined shape, allowing the helmet to carve through air, saving those valuable milliseconds. The product is also comprised of a vacuum-formed shell and honeycomb inner padding, which protects the rider from injury, without weighing them down. To enhance performance psychology, each helmet is patriotic and striking, ensuring Team Great Britain can immerse themselves in the role of a high-performance athlete.

The design of the winning Rio 2016 helmet serves as an example of the fusion between technology and design that can make a massive impact in the sports world.
