The French electric motorcycle brand 'Rider' launched its flagship 'Rider SR8,' a performance-focused electric motorbike, alongside its more affordable Rider SR6. The Rider SR8 boasts improved performance in nearly every way when compared to the SR6. The SR8 is equipped with a motor that delivers 8kW continuous output, a peak output of 11kW, and a stellar 148Nm of torque.
The drivetrain on the SR8 pushes it to achieve a maximum speed of 93 miles per hour, placing it at the high end of the 125cc category. The battery on the SR8 is also larger with a capacity of 7.2kWh, resulting in a range of over 70 miles on a single charger. However, this battery takes the same amount of time to charge as the SR6, requiring only five hours.
