The Shell RIDE SR-5B e-bike is the latest release from the Californian micro-mobility manufacturer. This bike boasts a high speed and power output compared to its competitors with a 500-watt motor and a top speed of 28 miles per hour. This motor is supplied by a 48-volt battery that can support it for up to 50 miles of range, or roughly two hours at max speed.
The Shell RIDE SR-5B is the premium model for the new Shell RIDE series, with the SR-3B and SR-4B situating themselves at more affordable price points for more modest performance specifications. The SR-5B is suited for on and off-road environments with grippy fat tires and a reliable suspension. The SR-4B boasts the same specifications as the SR-5B, but with a lighter step-through frame, rather than the sturdy step-over frame of the SR-5B.
Lastly, the SR-3B is poised as the most affordable offering in the range. However, this affordability comes with the caveat of a reduced 250-watt motor and a 25-mile range.
