The SodaStream CO2 canister reverse vending machine has been created in partnership with Tomra as a way to help make exchanges of the brand's CO2 canisters for its soda appliances simpler and more efficient. The vending machines are now being installed across the European Union as well as in the US and are presently in operation in both Sweden and France. The machine will make it easier to exchange canisters and eliminate the need to visit service counters at retail partners to do so.
SodaStream CEO Eyal Shohat spoke on the new SodaStream CO2 canister reverse vending machine and partnership with Tomra saying, "We hope the Tomra reverse vending solution will bring smoother logistics for both SodaStream retailers and customers, and make it even easier for streamers to exchange their cylinders and do their part for the environment.
