Parisian fashion label BOYHOOD and well-known footwear brand ASICS collaborate on a capsule of retro sportswear that fuses French stylings with athletic silhouettes. The Spring/Summer 2018 offerings are characterized by the nostalgic aesthetic of the 80s and intermixed with performance-oriented features like highly visible reflective patches and stretchy fabrics. The color palette of the retro sportswear is decisively old-school, while the brands promote the collaborative silhouettes to the "athletic youth."
From the dual-colored nylon and fleece crewneck in forest green to the branded vibrant orange t-shirts, the BOYHOOD x ASICS Spring/Summer 2018 collection is reminiscent of the types of styles one would find at a second-hand store. In addition, the footwear counterparts of the retro sportswear silhouettes amplify the nostalgic aspect with their classic runners designs.
