Designed by architecture firm MVRDV, the Chongwenmen M-Cube retail complex is set to open to visitors come the summer of 2016. Set to offer residents and visitors to Beijing 44,000-square-meters of retail space, the Chongwenmen M-Cube shopping center promises to be a welcome addition to the bustling metropolis.
Retail space in the Chongwenmen M-Cube center will be split between the lower levels, while the upper levels will house bars, restaurants and even a rooftop garden. The glimmering exterior of the Chongwenmen M-Cube retail complex is outfitted with a series of pearlescent tiles that will reflect the landscape in different lighting scenarios. LED advertising space has been incorporated into the exterior design space of the Chongwenmen M-Cube shopping complex to make it a true epicenter for retail.
