There have been many sweet, lovable and perfectly groomed plush pet toys to be introduced for kids over the years, but at the 2018 Toy Fair, Rescue Runts tugged at the heartstrings of adults and kids alike by being in need of attention and care straight out of the box.
By "adopting" a Rescue Runt, kids take on the task of nursing the toy pet back to health and making it look presentable. The toy puppies and kittens come with tears in their large round eyes, matted fur that's full of fleas and limbs wrapped with bandages. Once a Rescue Runt has been groomed and fixed up, kids can equip their pet toy with a collar that shows a name of their choosing.
As any real pet owner can attest, caring for a pet is far more than a one-time experience—and kids will need to groom and care for their plush Rescue Runt time and time again to keep it looking its best.
