Dark Techno-Inspired Fashion

HELIOT EMIL Drops The Referential Transparency Collection for SS19

Denmark-based fashion label HELIOT EMIL introduces its new Referential Transparency collection for the Spring/Summer 2019 season. The label is heavily inspired by the underground culture of Copenhagen, whilst also dialing in on visual cues drawn from militaristic concepts, techno, aviation, and brutalism as well. Sourcing fabrication from all over the world, the pieces are blended with custom hardware manufactured from Japan, with final production processes finished in France, Portugal, and Italy. HELIOT EMIL is often experimental when it comes to design, and the Referential Transparency capsule boasts dark motifs throughout.

The label now introduces a full line of womenswear, thermo-reactive material use, and a surprise mink fur utility bag as well. The SS19 season sees a series of combined futuristic and industrial shapes, along with a unique note printed on transparent cans of water, noting the capsule's title. The term is also referent of a computer programming term that is translated through the garments by challenging expectations as it changes through varying light and heat exposure.
