The Revamped Red Diamond Dance Centre and Theatre

— October 27, 2009 — Eco
The Red Diamond dance centre and theatre was created by Korean Architects Chiasmus Partners. The building used to be a factory in the Dongcheng district of Bejing, China. A faceted shell made of steel tubing covers the exterior of the existing building. The centre includes a performance hall and practice studio.

The area in front of the Red Diamond will be used as an open-air performance space. The concept was to make the courtyard an outdoor area that would revitalize the complex and surrounding area.
