Meat Brand Metaverse Games

Hillshire Farm Enters the Metaverse with the Launch of 'Red Barn'

Hillshire Farm, an American meat brand that was founded in 1934, has officially entered the metaverse with the launch of the 'Red Barn,' an immersive gaming experience that will be hosted in Decentraland. According to a recent press release, a non-playable character (NPC) inspired by real Hillshire farmers will welcome virtual guests to the Red Barn and provide them with information on the objective and important sites to explore in the game.

"We wanted to create an engaging experience for consumers that matches the level of care and craftsmanship we put into each of our products," said Courtney Ballantini, Vice President of Marketing Communications with Tyson Foods. "Virtual reality gives marketers a new way to creatively bring brands to life while providing entertainment value."

Players will have the chain to collect special Hillshire Farm brand wearables in-game by earning "Barn Bucks," a non-cash in-game currency. Examples of these unique wearables include 'The Rope Sausage Belt' and 'The Farm Overalls.'
