Hilton Hotels makes a recycling pledge to recycle one million bars of soap by the time its Global Handwashing Day which falls on October 15th. The eco-conscious initiative is done in collaboration with Clean the World — a non-for-profit organization that encourages hospitality establishments to recycle their toiletries. This does not only counter wasteful culture, but it also allows for the partnership to bring "much-needed handwashing supplies to people around the world."
To accomplish the ambitious recycling pledge, all of the hotel's imprints are part of the project — the Embassy Suites, the Hilton Garden Inn., the Hampton by Hilton, and All suites. Employees will be collecting the remnants of used soaps and ship them to Clean the World.
