Solomon pushes itself towards even more sustainable practices with its latest recyclable running shoe concept. This latest showcase highlights the brand's dedication to becoming entirely sustainable by 2025. It is constructed from thermoplastic polyurethane and can be recycled after serving its purpose as a running shoe into an alpine ski boot shell, which is expected to be available in 2021.
Vice President of the brand Guillaume Meyzenq states, “We recognize that we have to do better for the environment by creating Salomon footwear that drastically reduces its impact on the planet." The brand wants to showcase that it is completely possible to find ways of using alternative materials that make up an impressive performance footwear design as a sustainable result.
