Eco-Friendly Ski Boots

The SCOTT Cosmos Re-Source Ski Touring Boot Uses Biobased Materials

One of the ISPO Award winners for 2022 is the SCOTT Cosmos Re-Source Ski Touring Boot, a lightweight, versatile and sustainable ski boot that boasts more than 50% recycled and biobased materials per weight. This new ski boot makes the most of recycled and biobased materials, including GRS-certified fabrics for the liner, shells and cuffs made of Pebax Rnew and straps made from 100% recycled polyester.

To create this sustainable ski boot, the brand took apart its Cosmos Ski touring boot and looked at each part individually. After a careful look at all 75 boot pieces, the SCOTT team chose high-performance and eco-friendly materials to create all of the components. This tech-fueled boot won over the award jury for several reasons, including its exceptional blend of functionality and regard for the earth.
