These book jackets designed by artist Rebekah Miles offer up an unusual take on the protection of novels. The Los Angeles-based creative has, in addition to these covers, an impressive collection of handmade quirky ceramics.
Central to Miles' assortment of covers is her fascination with cultural issues, photographers and of course, authors. Directly referenced by way of her paint strokes is the work of Rodarte, David Hockney, Matisse and Velasquez.
While fans of Miles may not necessarily use these book jackets for hardbacks directly associated with the persons and subjects that she features in her pieces, they will nonetheless add funky elements to almost any literary collection, especially those dealing with topics of an aesthetic nature.
