A female painter obsessed with the mysteries surrounding Leonardo Da Vinci and The Da Vinci Code book took things much too seriously and allowed her imagination to run away with her. After moving to Italy in her pursuit, her mind got the better of her and she ended up convincing herself that she was in the midst of a murder plot which lead her to taking a deadly overdose.

Implications - It is amazing how deeply an author can affect people with his or her words. The woman who became obsessed with Dan Brown's best-selling novel is named Caroline Eldridge, who was 38 when she tragically died. Eldridge was a talented woman who graduated from the Wimbledon College of Art and worked for many years as a costume designer for the English National Opera.
