Inspired by the stagnant uniformity exhibited by Hollywood, these racially diverse movie posters criticize the movie industry by exposing an issue that is prevalent in the media.

Hollywood has its own glorified culture which influences popular media channels while having a massive impact on global populations. Buzzfeed took action against the massive disparity when it comes to movie roles and people of color by recreating iconic movie posters with a diverse twist.

Statistics show that even though people of color make up 40% of the population in the U.S., they only make up 16.7% of Hollywood roles. Recreating famous images as racially diverse movie posters, Buzzfeed took on Titanic, The Breakfast Club and Mean Girls and used minorities to magnify the issue in the industry.
