If you love the flavor of earl grey tea, you need to give this quinoa oatmeal recipe a try this fall. Created by Izy Hossack from the blog Top With Cinnamon, the pumpkin-flavored breakfast is the perfect way to start a crisp autumn morning.
The earl grey quinoa oatmeal features a homemade pumpkin spice puree made out of a roasted butternut squash, pumpkin pie spice mix, salt and either a pitted medjool date or maple syrup. The steel cut oats are prepared with water, quinoa, an earl grey tea bag, salt and milk. You can also sprinkle some pumpkin seeds and pecans on top for added flavor and a crunchy texture.
The result is a hearty breakfast that is sure to get your day off on the right foot.
