Facebook Created a New Quiet Mode for Mobile Users

Facebook recently created a new ‘Quiet Mode’ for those who access the platform using a mobile device. The new Quiet Mode will eliminate the majority of the push notifications from the app, however, the platform will still send the push notifications that it is required to send, like privacy updates. Additionally uses will be reminded that the feature is turned on, and it can be turned on and off manually. The feature is currently available for iOS devices, and the Android version is scheduled to be released in May.
The social media giant released a statement about the new feature, "As we all adjust to new routines and staying home, setting boundaries for how you spend your time online can be helpful. Whether it’s to help you focus on your family and friends, sleep without distraction or manage how you spend your time at home, we have tools that can help you find the right balance for how you use Facebook."
