I strongly believe that the strongest form of brand awareness is not a series of commercials or a print campaign but a public interactive event where the public are active participants rather than just passive observers. The Puma Spinstar event is a shining example of that as it combines the brand's logo and the lifestyle with which it tries to associate itself with, mainly fitness and healthy living.
Created by creative ideas agency Access, the Puma Spinstar event is a contest where 100 or so contestants gather on the stage and compete to see who can last the longest on the exercise bikes. Those who pass two hours get free Puma clothes and the top five finishers each receive an exercise bike.
Simply put, the Puma Spinstar is a brilliant marketing stunt.
