Nissan's PROPILOT Golf Ball Navigates Itself into Holes on a Course

The ProPILOT Golf Ball from Nissan takes inspiration from its ProPILOT 2.0 self-driving system, which is soon to be introduced to Japan with the Skyline. The high-tech golf ball boasts the ability to navigate itself into a hole on a golf course, thanks to a setup that involves an external camera, an internal motor and an algorithm that considers how hard the ball was struck.

On the golf course, the ball is shown to quickly redirect itself if necessary or even just make a subtle nudge to land itself in a hole.

With the new and improved ProPILOT 2.0 system for vehicles, drivers are able to enjoy features like hands-off driving, land changing and guidance when exiting the highway thanks to GPS, 3D map data, cameras and more.
