In order to get locals excited about the release of Godzilla Resurgence, a new themed promotional bus was created for the day of the movie's release in Japan.
One bus traveling on the Shinjuku WE Bus route from Shinjuku Station and Kabukicho in Tokyo was transformed into a themed bus, featuring a special buzzer that sounded Godzilla's roar when commuters requested a stop. This bus travels in an area that's close to both the Toho cinema complex and the new Godzilla hotel in Kabukicho.
What's particularly notable about the release of Godzilla Resurgence is that it is the first Japanese-produced Godzilla film to be launched since 2004. As such, there have been dozens of new products created to take advantage of a renewed interest in Japan's own iconic movie monster.
