A new Project Jacquard jacket has been announced by Levi's and Google as a connected garment option that will provide wearers with an array of functionalities that suit their lifestyle needs. The next-generation denim jackets are outfitted with touch-sensitive areas on the sleeves that will enable wearers to seamlessly interact with their mobile device(s). This would allow wearers to maintain enhanced connectivity without the need to constantly have their smartphone or mobile device in hand to put the focus on the task at hand.
The new Project Jacquard jacket boasts the new 'Ask Assistant' functionality to keep users productive when looking to perform common digital tasks. The jacket will be available in Classic Trucker and Sherpa Trucker styles at a cost of $198 and $248, respectively.
