Murano Lighting Chandeliers

The Profilo Chandelier is Designed by Luca Nichetto for Barovier&Toso

Profilo Chandelier is created by designer Luca Nichetto in collaboration with Murano glassmaker Barovier&Toso using traditional Venetian glassmaking techniques. The suspended fixture is composed of stacked glass discs formed through a centrifugal process that produces subtle variations in thickness, transparency, and surface texture. Each disc differs in diameter and is arranged along a vertical axis to create a layered profile that diffuses light through overlapping glass elements. The chandelier is designed for suspension in large architectural spaces as well as residential interiors.

The piece was presented during Venice Glass Week as part of the Murano Illumina il Mondo program and installed at the Procuratie Vecchie in Piazza San Marco. Production takes place on Murano, where artisans shape and finish the glass components according to Nichetto’s specifications. The design draws on historical Murano chandelier construction while using a contemporary approach to form and assembly.
