The Belize Collection is expanding The Banks Resort with a second phase slated to open in December 2026, featuring more private accommodations in the Belizean jungle. Phase Two expands the resort from 14 to 29 units and adds 10 One-Bedroom Jungle Suites with Pool measuring about 800 square feet. Designed for two guests, each includes a king bed, kitchenette, plunge pool, courtyard, outdoor shower and secondary patio.
The expansion also adds two- and three-bedroom accommodations and a new gym. The resort pairs residential-style stays with adventure and wellness programming, including kayaking on the Sibun River, horseback riding and visits to the nearby Ceremonial Cave. Humo Restaurant & Bar serves open-fire dishes inspired by Belizean ingredients and flavors.
For travelers, the expansion provides more private layouts for couples, families, extended stays and groups. Conservation efforts include reforestation and trail-camera programs with Belize Wild Cats. The project reflects demand for nature-based, residential hospitality while allowing The Belize Collection to serve more guest types without shifting The Banks away from its all-villa positioning.
