NORD STREAM Offers a Modern Take on Preserved Seafood

Consumers are familiar with seeing preserved food packaging in the form of metal tins, but NORD STREAM designed by LOCO Studio offers a fresh and modern approach.

NORD STREAM's product assortment includes five different preserved products: sardines, smoked mussels, crab, octopus and squid. Each product may easily be identified by a silhouette of the appropriate creature and an eye-catching graphic component.

The patterns integrated onto the designs are based on moiré, which means that the images atop the packaging appear to move as they are opened, emphasizing the freshness of the preserved seafood products inside with a simple illusion; NORD STREAM's crab package features a crustacean with moving claws and legs, while its sardine image features a fin that shifts from left to right as if swimming.
