This Precompression Party Encourages Guests to Be Present in the Moment

Last month, Bright Young Things hosted a precompression party in Brooklyn, New York, called 'Off The Grid' that encouraged guests to disconnect from their digital devices. These days, few people attend events without sharing their experience on social media. This event was designed to help guests be more present in the moment by ditching their phones all-together.

Dubbed "a precompression party without the phones," Off The Grid gave guests a chance to completely disconnect and simply enjoy the company of others. The event included music by the likes of FDVM and Erica Rhone, a lively dance floor and even fire dancers. Guests were encourages to dress in their favorite Playa wear, dance and simply be present in the moment. As stated on the event's website, the party was designed to remind guests of "life before everything came through a glowing screen."
