Potholes are a persistent problem in major cities. A new app called Street Bump is in the testing phases to help resolve that problem for Boston citizens. The Street Bump app uses your phone's accelerometer and GPS functions to spot potholes and automatically notify city authorities of each bump's location.
Since almost all cities are stricken with car- and tire-damaging potholes, the Street Bump app could make city driving infinitely safer.
Implications - There have been a whole series of apps that make the driving experience easier recently. This pot-hole detecting one is a must for anyone who drives and lives in a city that doesn't repave its roads often enough.
