Post-COVID Theme Parks

Universal Orlando Has Reopened for the First Time Since Mid-March

North America is getting a taste of the post-COVID theme park experience as the Universal Orlando Resort reopened to guests. The event marks the revival of Florida's theme park industry.

Universal Orlando allowed annual pass-holders exclusive two-day access to the newly reopened facilities before welcoming other guests. To ensure the safety of all patrons, the company has introduced special measures for the post-COVID theme park experience. These include temperature checks for guests entering the site. In favor of physical distancing guidelines, Universal Orlando only allows a predetermined number of people in the park and has placed blue circles in order for visitors to maintain 6-feet distance. Employees are regularly disinfecting surfaces, especially handrails, and patrons are reminded to wear face masks and keep their distance thanks to a recording in English and Spanish that is played on a loop.
