The 'Vegetarian Ventures' blog recently developed a recipe for lemon-lime glazed donuts garnished with Pop Rocks sprinkles. Inspired by the some of the most beloved 90s treats, these donuts are sure to induce a wave of nostalgia with every single bite.
The donuts themselves are intended to mimic the flavor of Surge Soda, which was a popular 90s drink. To achieve the sweet lemon-lime soda flavor, the donuts are baked in a donut pan and then glazed with a mix of powdered sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, lime zest and lime juice.
