Industrial-Grade Resin Printing Solutions

polySpectra's COR Zero is Making COR Printing Accessible

The COR Zero from polySpectra is a newly launched Cyclic Olefin Resin (COR) designed for resin 3D printing. This material is notable for its manufacturing-grade strength, making it suitable for both industrial and home workshop applications. COR Zero offers high-impact strength, toughness, and thermal stability, addressing common issues associated with resin-based 3D printing, such as brittleness and poor thermal performance. The resin can be processed using inexpensive equipment, including a freezer for storage and a microwave for post-curing, making it accessible for individual innovators and small businesses.

The material properties of COR Zero include an average modulus of 2175 MPa, an average notched IZOD impact strength of 27 J/m, and a glass transition temperature between 125°C and 145°C. These properties enable the production of durable parts that can withstand significant mechanical stress and high temperatures, making COR Zero suitable for applications such as valves and piping. By providing a robust and versatile material, polySpectra aims to bridge the gap between prototyping and production, allowing makers to produce end-use components without the need for costly injection molding.
