Sports Car Office Chairs

The Ferrari Design Team Created the New Poltrona Frau Office Chair

Discussions around sports car tend to center around their more extreme aspects — horsepower, 0 to 60 times, handling, etc. — but Poltrona Frau's new office chair takes direct inspiration from a less glitzy aspect of high-performance vehicles: the seats. The Italian brand's 'Cockpit' chairs were created in partnership with the Ferrari design team, and they indeed have the aggressive, ruthlessly efficient look that has made the automaker a household name.

Poltrona Frau's Cockpit chair comes in two styles: the 'President' offers a high backrest, while the 'Executive' has lower back support. In either case, the chairs feature a segmented, scooped design that instantly reminds one of the bucket chairs that are an essential aspect of race cars. The chairs are also emblazoned with Ferrari branding to emphasize that point.
