Pocket Casts Plus is Now Free to Those Who Purchased the Desktop App

Pocket Casts desktop users who paid the $9 fee will now be able to access Pocket Casts plus for life with no additional associated costs. The free offer of Pocket Casts plus extends to those who purchased either the Windows or Mac version of the Desktop app.

Pocket Casts was initially going to make it free for three years, instead of a free lifetime subscription. However, it listened to customer feedback and expanded the promotion. For users who did not purchase the desktop version of the app and wish to upgrade to Pocket Casts plus, it is available for a 99¢ per month, or $10 a year. The paid version of the app includes extra features like cloud storage for audio and video content, as well as extra themes.
