This Restaurant Recently Created a Pizza Box Made Out of Pizza

A Brooklyn pizzeria called Vinnie's recently made headlines for creating an edible pizza box made out of pizza. While some would argue that it may be easier to simply order two pizzas than try and eat the box, this unusual creation definitely has a certain novelty factor.

Accord to Vinnie's, the edible box is called the 'Pizza Box Pizza' and it functions as a form of edible packaging for the main pizza inside. The outside of the box is comprised of thick layers of crust, while the interior is filled with a mixture of sauce, cheese and pepperoni that acts as a cushion for the pizza inside.

Although the pizza box made out of pizza appears to be just a gimmick, the creation does play off of the trend towards waste-free packaging and more sustainable ways of delivering food.
