The Pioneer Sphera Offers Dolby Atmos Support at CES 2026

— January 6, 2026 — Autos
The Pioneer Sphera head unit has been formally announced by the brand at CES 2026 as a way to bring spatial audio and more to the in-car experience. The unit features a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen display and will offer support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while also offering support for Dolby Atmos through simple or complex sound systems. the unit can achieve impressively immersive sound from systems with just two speakers in the front and two in the rear by leveraging the brand's Pure Attuning technology that will calibrate itself inside the car to maximize performance.

The brand spoke further on the Pioneer Sphera head unit explaining, "Vehicle cabins vary widely in size, shape, and materials, and aftermarket upgrades can further influence acoustical variables. To account for and adapt to these differences, Pure Autotuning technology precisely adjusts time alignment, frequency response, and channel levels to optimise performance and place the listener at the acoustical centre position.”
