The gherkin chandelier is the world's first pickle chandelier. While the idea of a pickle chandelier sounds silly and almost whimsical, the gherkin chandelier produces enough pickle power to seriously mess you up if you're near it when it's turned on. This pickle light fixture uses enough juice to power a city blocks or two electrical chairs. When turned on, the gherkin chandelier emits a yellowish glow that is caused by the salt contained in the pickles reacting to the electric current.
While not the most practical of inventions it certainly works as an interesting piece of art, aside from the pungent smell of vinegar it emits.
