While most photos of flowers are nothing out of the ordinary, artist Bruce Boyd creates very unique photography with the same main subject.
The photographer made the series 'Zerodegrees' along with his artist girlfriend Tharien Smith. The two first create floral arrangements using a variety of different positions and types of flowers and then freeze them in blocks of ice. The resulting artwork is textured, colorful and makes for beautifully serene photos. The photos of flowers are certainly a significant diversion from the up-close field photography that most artists take.
By creating different shapes and arrangements with something as simple as flowers, the artists have brought together a creative project that involves both physical and digital aspects.
