Foster + Partners recently put together an innovative pharmaceutical office location for a brand located in Kastrup, Denmark that sits above water in a unique triangular shape. The prismatic structure offers 39,000-square meters of office space located directly on the waterfront above a stone plinth. The building's design and shape acts as a preventative measure against flooding common to the area.
The offices are made of glass in a series of floors that stack together ranging from smallest in size at the bottom and largest at the top. The reverse pyramid structure gives the building a self-shading design for the area located directly below. In addition, the structure appears to be floating on the water when it is in fact sitting on a stone dock. The interior houses offices along the perimeter and courtyards, dining space and more in the centre.
