If you thought your DYI movie costumes were impressive, then clearly you haven't seen the Peter Kokis 'Brooklyn Alien' costume.
Inspired by the Xenomorph from the Alien film, professional cosplayer Peter Kokis created a mechanized Xenomorph. He calls it the 'Brooklyn Alien.' The craziest thing about this suit is that he made it from everyday objects. Most of the parts for his costume were household items like knife sharpeners, toilet plungers and drain mats. It took 16 month to collect all the necessary parts. The suit took 400 hours to complete and weighs 120 pounds.
Who could ever imagine spending that much time and putting that much effort into a costume? If you take a page out of Peter's book, you'll defiantly get heads turning at the next convention you go to.
