ChemDAQ Debuts the SafeCide™ Personal Sampler
ChemDAQ has released a new safety device named the SafeCide™ Personal Sampler (SPS). This innovation is engineered to provide ongoing, instantaneous monitoring of airborne peracetic acid (PAA) within food and beverage production settings.
As a portable instrument, the SafeCide™ Personal Sampler can be worn or carried. The device utilizes a specialized sampling pump and sensor to analyze chemical concentrations in real-time. It displays the data on an integrated monitor and incorporates features like interchangeable inlets for different sampling methods and self-diagnostic alerts for operational integrity. For example, one can switch "between a lapel-clip personal breathing-zone inlet for industrial hygiene monitoring and a retractable 36-inch (0.9-meter) remote-sampling inlet wand."
ChemDAQ's SafeCide™ Personal Sampler directly addresses a significant operational gap by offering continuous, personal exposure data rather than relying on infrequent area sampling. This, in turn, enables a more precise and dynamic understanding of worker risk in environments.
