Along with about 65,500 holiday housing units in small neighborhoods, the tourist area in Penglai will also include a marina, a golf course, an equestrian center, and many parks and gardens.
Arcas Europe is the architecture firm behind the plan. According to Ecofriend, Arcas Europe will adopt the Eco Compact City approach (ECC), which aims to "balance social and economic sustainability of the area with land and resource use patterns." This would minimize energy consumption, pollution and the use of resources.
