AI-Enabled Pediatric Services

Doctronic Has Acquired Summer Health & Adds Pediatric Telehealth

Doctronic acquired Summer Health, bringing the pediatric telehealth company’s text-based care model and clinical dataset into its AI-enabled primary care platform. Founded in 2022, Summer Health provides on-demand pediatric support for concerns such as fevers, feeding, medications, sleep and child development.

The acquisition adds more than 100,000 pediatric text conversations to Doctronic’s data resources, giving the company examples of how parents describe symptoms, ask questions and seek medical guidance. Doctronic plans to use this dataset to develop pediatric-specific AI models while extending its care offering from infancy through adulthood. Summer Health founder Ellen DaSilva will also join Doctronic as senior vice president of partnerships.

For families, the combined platform aims to create a more continuous virtual care experience across life stages. The deal also reflects growing investment in specialized AI models and datasets designed to expand condition- and age-specific digital healthcare services.
