In response to some of the issues that the elderly face when it comes to food preparation, Adriana Pereira created this pasta packaging design. The package is made with a polypropylene film, printed with bold letters so that its contents are easily visible.
Rather than having a top that needs to be snipped with scissors to open, this packet features a red tab for easy opening. At the top of the package, there's also a handy printed guide, which serves as a measuring tool to demonstrate the perfect bunch of dry noodles to serve two people. The bottom of the pasta package is sealed, so that only one end of the bag ever needs to be opened. Addressing visibility and motor skills, this is a clever design that helps seniors maintain their independence when cooking at home.
