Emirates announced that it will be suspending the majority of passenger flights before March 25th. The airline will continue to offer passenger flights to a total of 13 countries including the United Staes, United Kindom, Japan, Australia, and Canada. The reduced flights will help to eliminate nonessential travel to slow the spread of COVID-19, and the remaining flights could help people return from any aboard travels.
Emirates released an official statement about its operations going forward, “Having received requests from governments & customers to support repatriation of travellers, Emirates will continue to operate passenger and cargo flights to few countries until further notice, as long as borders remain open, and there is demand."
