Abstract architecture such as this will inevitably get noticed, but the Parramatta Art Center takes one step further to really standing out. Planned for suburb of Sydney, Australia, the extraordinary glowing gallery building is a work of art of its own.
As far as the city and architect Han Tang are concerned, the big pink project is designed to grant this community a "world-class urban experience," despite its distance to the center of the state's capital. But as this urban area is already bustling with people, this dramatic piece of architecture aims to integrate with and support an expanding network of commercial space as well. The Parramatta Art Center will incorporate an elevated concourse that brings the city and this structure together. And then, as a monument to creativity, it will house a number of exhibition spaces that will draw tourists inland west.
