Collaged Paper Towel Art

Elise Mazac's 'Nunuche' Collages Use Paper Towels as Canvases

'Nunuche' by Elise Mazac is a paper towel art series that features a mix of collage cutouts and paint. The playful creations by Mazac feature people with hardly any clothes on, taking part in various scenarios like hanging out at the beach under an oversized umbrella, building snowmen and playing the piano.

The collage people's interactions on the printed paper towels are odd and amusing, since it's the last place you'd expect to see some of these situations played out. Since paper towels act as the canvases that host these art pieces, they are no bigger than about 8" sheets. There are a range of paper towel types too, each of which has its own distinct patterning for absorbing water, which adds quite a bit of interest as an artful element too.
