Porsche Design Celebrates Its 50th Anniversary With P'8478 Sunglasses

Porsche Design has announced the release of the 50Y edition of the P'8478 sunglasses, an updated, limited-edition version of its beloved aviator model.
Here, the iconic aviator frame has been given a contemporary makeover. In particular, the designers have updated the shades with a much more flat 2-base curve lens while maintaining the model's signature interchangeable lens system. The new set comes with both an oliver silver mirror lens and a gray polarized 'Vision Drive' lens. In addition, the sunglasses are made from lightweight titanium with satin-gloss platinum detailing.
Currently, the 50Y edition of the P'8478 comes in two silhouettes: the classic aviator model or the square-shaped P'8928 silhouette. For those interested, these premium aviators are now available for purchase on the Porsche Design website.
